Remote Spectral Capture (RSC) (Under Construction)

RSC is a company formed by some ex. GE Aerospace people along with some GE CRD people. We pursued development of an imager that was originally developed at CRD, but abandoned by GE. The imager provides on-chip processing of interferograms generated from a Fourier-Transform interferometer. The chip actually provides the complete spectral output at frame-rates approaching 100,000 frames/sec, using battery power. This is roughly equivalent to 100,000, 1000 point FTs in one second. Sounds impossible, which is what the original aerospace contractor thought, but it works. The secret is to use analog, on-chip processing. It makes a great laser detector for aerospace applications, but we have yet to find significant commercial interest. Below is a description of the technology.
