We had so much fun working on the Chevelle, my son and I went looking for another project. Found this 66 El Camino locally; it was completely torn down, the parts all restored or new, except one body panel. The guy couldn't put it back together, and couldn't find a buyer for the whole car, so he started parting it out. So when I got to it, it was minus fenders and the transmission. It came with a 1970 Camero engine, bored out to 355ci, with Edelbrock performer RPM cam, intake, and 2.02 heads. Should be a screemer. It was too good a project to pass up, so now everything is sitting in my garage at camp. When I get the time, I'll be fixing the right rear body panel, painting it, putting in a new tranny (looking at a Richmond 6 speed), and hopefully getting it all back together.
