DEC extends hydrofracking comment period to Jan. 11, 2012

Department of Environmental Conservation has extended a public comment period on its proposed rules for hydraulic fracturing for natural gas. The extension puts the total length of the comment period at 126 days. Comments may be submitted online at http://www.dec.ny.gov/energy/76838.html or on paper to dSGEIS Comments, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, 625 Broadway,Albany, NY 12233-6510.
